Well folks...we've had some setbacks this past week and things have been on hold...still are for now but we are all praying for an equitable solution...one that doesn't involve taking down walls and digging up concrete. if you are a prayer warrior please pray for this to be resolved quickly...it is definitely holding up the construction.
We have had some progress in the old part of the house. This is the ceiling/ac vents in our "office" which will have dry wall hung tomorrow.
The kitchen will also have dry wall
more of the office
The opening from the dining room into the kitchen was made bigger today, this is the view from the kitchen into the dining room/living room to the front door
the view from the dining room through the kitchen and back to the bedroom walls

the kitchen cabinets have been moved out of the office once again in preparation for the dry wall
some cabinets, hood and some toilets have been moved from the office to the family room as nothing can be done in the new part of the house until the framing inspection has passed so it is a good place to store all these boxes.
the cabinets have moved 4 or 5 times so far and now reside in the family room!
Standing in the office looking into the not yet wall boarded claw foot tub bathroom. the wall that has insulation is also the wall to the other guest bathroom...photos to follow

looking into the guest bath from the doorway in the bedroom. the opening at the top of the wall is for a piece of fixed glass that will allow light into the claw foot tub bathroom.
looking into the guest bath shower. the opening is for shampoo and soap etc...and will be closed in when the drywall is hung on the other side tomorrow.
below is the door in the bedroom looking into the guest bathroom.

  1. It's exciting to see what they have been able to do. I am glad I know your house so I can figure the views out. God is good. He will make the best come out of what is happening.

  2. It will be worth it. Your house is going to be twice as beautiful when this is done... Not to mention twice the size. Looks like you'll need more frogs.
